Borders 'slick' credit card scam warning

Trading standards officers have warned the public about a "slick" credit card scam being operated in the Borders.

A caller claims to be from the security and fraud department at Visa or Mastercard investigating an unusual purchase pattern.

They later say they need to issue a credit to the card and ask for the three-digit security number.

People have been asked to report any calls to police, who are dealing with several such incidents every day.
