No action will be taken against a Scottish minister after a General Election expenses investigation.

Scotland Office Minister David Mundell was interviewed by police in September after being accused of spending more than allowed under election law.

Mr Mundell has now received a letter from the Crown Office confirming no further proceedings will be taken.

The MP for Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale previously admitted "mistakes" in his returns.

But he put the situation down to "human error".
