A Dumfries man has been jailed for 32 months after police found heroin worth more than £11,000 in the boot of a car.
Steven Hogg, 30, from the town's Stakeford Street, admitted being concerned in the supply of the drug over a period of a year up to May.
His solicitor told the court Hogg had inherited a £4,000 drug debt after his brother died of an overdose.
Sheriff George Jamieson said it involved drugs of a "substantial value" and must be "severely punished".
