Two badly hurt in Dumfries and Galloway road accidents

Police have appealed for witnesses after two people were badly hurt in separate road accidents in the south west of Scotland.

On Saturday a man was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with serious injuries after a scooter crash on New Abbey Road in Dumfries.

A 32-year-old man also remains in hospital after an accident on the A710 Dumfries to New Abbey road on Friday.

He was driving a Suzuki jeep which was in a collision with a Fiat Punto.

Witnesses to either incident have been asked to contact Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary with information.
