Borders General Hospital treatment times improve

Accident and emergency treatment times at Borders General Hospital are among the quickest in Scotland.

The Scottish government target is that patients should not wait longer than four hours.

From April to June this year the BGH met that target in 98.6% of cases - the best rate in mainland Scotland.

The national average is also at an all-time high of 97%. NHS Borders rates dipped as low as only 93% of patients meeting targets last year.
