Redundant Hawick quilt workers offered advice

An advice event is being held in Hawick for workers made redundant at a quilt factory in the town.

Slumberdown went into administration earlier this week with the loss of a total of 58 jobs.

They are being offered advice on benefits, tax and other issues at Borders College on the town's Buccleuch Road between 1000 and 1230 BST.

Organisers said it was not just for Slumberdown workers but for anyone facing unemployment.
