Police say they received a "good response" revisiting a nightclub one week on from the death of a 21-year-old man in Kilmarnock.

Robert Fleming was involved in a fight outside Bakers nightclub in the early hours of last Sunday, and was later found dead at his home.

Officers went back to the club one week on from the altercation in a bid to track down potential witnesses.

Det Ch Insp Allan Burton said police had spoken to 50 people at the club.

He said: "Our inquiries had established that Robert was involved in an altercation outside Baker's nightclub in John Finnie Street between the hours of 00:30 and 01:00 on Sunday, 7 February.

"We are thankful to those members of the public who took the time to speak with officers to help us achieve the full picture of the circumstances surrounding his death.

"It is possible that as we follow up on the information provided to us by members of the public, officers will determine new lines of inquiry which will be of assistance in our investigation.

"We will continue to progress all lines of inquiry and we continue to seek the assistance of the public."
