Johnston Press delays results for credit talks

Johnston Press has announced a three-week postponement of its annual results for last year.

The company, which publishes the Scotsman and nearly 300 local papers, had been due to unveil its figures for 2011 on 3 April.

Publication will now not take place until 25 April.

The company said it has been in discussions with its lenders regarding the extension of its credit facilities for a further three years.

The credit facilities are due to expire in September.

Johnston Press said it would provide a further update to the market as part of the preliminary results announcement.
