Man who abused young girls in Aberdeen jailed
A 55-year-old man who sexually abused three young girls has been jailed for seven years.
At the High Court in Glasgow, judge Lady Stacey ordered Brian Morrison, of Aberdeen, to be monitored in the community for three years.
He had earlier been convicted at the High Court in Aberdeen of abusing girls at various dates and locations in Aberdeen.
Morrison denied all the charges against him.
Lady Stacey told him: "Your first offence 30 years ago was for sexual offending. You appear to have an established pattern of offending and it has caused significant harm to your victims."
She placed Morrison on the sex offenders' register.
He had earlier been convicted of sexually abusing a girl on various occasions when she was aged between eight and 11.
The offences were committed at two houses in Aberdeen and the Beach Leisure Centre and the Beach Promenade between May 2001 and January 2005.
He was also found guilty of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old with intent to rape her at a house in Aberdeen on 8 January 2005.
Morrison was also convicted of sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl at a house in Aberdeen on an occasion between January 2012 and January 2013.
