Man jailed for six times limit driving in Shetland

A man who drove while more than six times the alcohol limit twice in a week in Shetland has been jailed.

Torbjorn Riise, 46, of Scalloway, admitted the January offences.

Sheriff Philip Mann told Lerwick Sheriff Court that Riise had put members of the public at "very, very significant risk of harm".

Riise was jailed for eight months, was handed two lifelong disqualifications, and fined £300. Forfeiture of his vehicle was ordered.
