Support group set up for aspiring independent councillors in Aberdeen

A group has been set up to support any candidates who want to stand as an independent at local elections in Aberdeen next year.

i4A has said it will provide campaign support during the election phase, as well as follow-up research after the vote.

The group wants prospective candidates to behave in a certain way.

They have to agree to a set of core values including humility, respect and integrity.

One of those behind the group is Lorna McHattie, who campaigned against the controversial Marischal Square development in Aberdeen.
