Two injured in patient transfer ambulance crash near Lhanbryde

Two people have been taken to hospital following an accident involving a patient transfer ambulance in Moray.

The vehicle hit a BMW on the A96 outside Lhanbryde at about 11:00 on Friday.

It is understood that the casualties were not seriously hurt, although both have been taken to Dr Gray's hospital in Elgin for treatment.

The road was shut in both directions to allow accident investigations to take place.

It was re-opened shortly after 15:00.
