Vandalised Markethill Primary School in Turriff to reopen

An Aberdeenshire primary school forced to close for two days after vandals caused more than £20,000 of damage is to reopen on Wednesday.

Markethill School in Turriff was closed to pupils and staff on Monday and Tuesday.

Units were destroyed, food thrown about, and a valuable stained glass window destroyed at the weekend.

Aberdeenshire Council thanked everyone who had been involved in the clear-up operation.
