Man freed in Remembrance money theft case in Aberdeen

A man charged after the theft of money from purses at a Remembrance Sunday event at Aberdeen harbour has been freed.

The incident happened at the Aberdeen Sea Cadets base at Pocra Quay.

Police Scotland had described it as a "disgraceful incident".

Police said a 34-year old man was expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court, but the Crown Office later said he was freed from custody pending further inquiries.
