Seven times limit Aberdeen drink-driver banned

A drink-driver caught more than seven times the limit in Aberdeen has been banned from the road.

First offender Peter Aitken, 52, a security guard, had gone to the pub after a shift in October.

Aitken was involved in a collision on the way home. He admitted drink-driving.

Sheriff Alison Stirling told Aberdeen Sheriff Court it was an "exceptionally high" reading. Aitken was banned for 40 months.
