Two charged after man injured in car park disturbance
Two men, aged 22 and 23, have been charged and others are being sought after a group disturbance in Aberdeen left a man in hospital.
Police sealed off part of the Aldi supermarket car park in Foresterhill Road following the incident at about 21:00 on Tuesday.
The injured man, in his 20s, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. His injuries were not life-threatening.
The two men are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Det Con Jill Anderson said: "I would like to reassure people living in the area that this appears to be an isolated and contained incident, with early indications suggesting this was a targeted attack involving a group of males potentially known to each other.
"From our inquiries so far I would stress that the individuals involved in this incident posed no threat to the wider public.
"Inquiries are ongoing and there will be some police presence in the area while our investigation continues. I would appeal to the public for their cooperation and patience while these inquiries are carried out.
"Officers are following several positive lines of inquiry in relation to outstanding individuals also believed to be involved, however I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and who does have information to contact police."
