Theft of community defibrillators condemned
The theft and vandalism of defibrillators in Aberdeenshire have been condemned by police.
The community-owned equipment - used on people in cardiac arrest - has been targeted in Newtonhill, Oldmeldrum and Udny Green in recent months.
Police Scotland said the crimes could lead to a loss of life.
Insp Colin Taylor said: "This mindless act has compromised safety. It is beyond belief that some would take this community-funded equipment."
He added: "We have carried out extensive inquiries and are continuing to investigate this senseless crime and that is why we are urging the public to come forward with any information."
