Daniel Adams and Mark Russell charged after drugs seizure

Two men from Aberdeen have appeared in court after drugs worth more than £300,000 were found by police in North Lanarkshire.

Daniel Adams, 24 and Mark Russell, 25, were arrested on Friday in the Cumbernauld area.

Cannabis resin was recovered during the operation, which involved officers from Aberdeen and Glasgow.

Neither man made a plea or declaration. Mr Adams was remanded in custody while Mr Russell was bailed.

Both men faced charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Mr Adams also faced charges under the Proceeds of Crime Act and Criminal Justice and Licensing Act.
