Michael Reid named as motorcyclist killed in A98 crash

A motorcyclist who died after a crash on an Aberdeenshire road has been named.

Michael Reid, 29, from the Peterhead area, crashed on the A98 Banff to Portsoy road at Boyndie on Sunday.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after the one-vehicle accident but later died.

Sgt David Pirie, appealing for witnesses, said: "Our thoughts are with Mr Reid's family and friends at this very sad time."
