Arrest after cyclist hurt in Drumoak 'hit and run'

A man has been arrested over a hit-and-run in Aberdeenshire that left a cyclist seriously injured.

The 24-year-old female cyclist was hit on the A93 Aberdeen to Banchory road at Drumoak at around 13:30 on Tuesday.

She was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and was treated for "serious but not life-threatening" injuries.

Police said a 27-year-old man had now been arrested over the incident. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
