Moray teacher faces pupil knife hearing

A primary teacher faces a hearing for allegedly concealing a knife that a pupil had brought to school.

Jane Callister is said to have failed to report the incident in 2014 at Elgin's Seafield Primary School.

It is claimed she did not inform the acting head teacher about the knife, and instead returned it to the pupil's family home where she spoke to him about his actions.

She is due to appear at a GTC Scotland fitness to teach panel hearing.
