A consultation on a new crossing for the Bridge of Dee area in Aberdeen is to be launched.

Aberdeen City Council said options including an arch bridge could be a way of tackling a "bottleneck" issue.

The month-long consultation runs from Tuesday until 17 June.

Transport and regeneration spokesman Ross Grant said: "This scheme should make a big difference transforming connectivity for residents, commuters and visitors getting around the city."

Exhibitions will also be held at Inchgarth Community Centre on Tuesday and at South Holburn Church on Wednesday, both from noon to 20:00.
