Investigation after Eastern Airways flight engine is shut down

A plane from Shetland sparked an emergency at Aberdeen International Airport after the captain shut down one of the aircraft's two engines.

Eastern Airways said the Saab 2000 flight from Scatsta, with 31 people on board, landed safety on Wednesday evening.

A cockpit warning light had come on and the engine was shut down as a "precaution".

Eastern Airways said it was investigating the incident.
