Pedestrian hit by two cars on A96 in Aberdeenshire dies

An 83-year-old pedestrian has died after being hit by two cars in Aberdeenshire.

It is understood the man had stepped off a bus shortly before the accident.

The A96 was closed at Colpy, between Inverurie and Huntly, as a result. The incident took place at about 17:30 on Wednesday.

Police Scotland, appealing for witnesses, said the drivers of the cars had been left shocked but uninjured.
