Four hurt in two-car crash on A96 near Tyrebagger

Four people were taken to hospital following a crash on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverurie road on Monday.

Police said the collision happened near Tyrebagger at about 16:55 and involved a black Vauxhall Astra and a red Vauxhall Corsa.

The 48-year-old male driver of the Astra and a 41-year-old passenger were injured, along with the driver and passenger of the other car, both 18.

None of the injuries were life-threatening.

PC Tom Stables said: "Inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are at an early stage and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.

"In particular we would like to speak to the driver or any occupants of a silver car that would have been exiting the unclassified Newhills road onto the A96 at the time of the incident.

"They may have information which could help the investigation and I would appeal for them to contact us."
