Motorists charged for ignoring B999 flood closure signs

Ten motorists have been charged for ignoring road closure orders in place on an Aberdeenshire road following flooding, police have said.

The drivers were charged in relation to the B999 between Pitmedden and Tarves.

It followed reports from concerned residents between Thursday evening and Friday.

Police Scotland said: "There are no excuses for ignoring these and if you fail to comply you will be charged."
