CCTV footage has been released of a man police in Aberdeen want to trace after threatening behaviour motivated by religious prejudice.

Police Scotland said the incident happened at Poundland in Berryden Retail Park on Tuesday 30 June.

Officers said the man, who they believe could assist their inquiries, was aged in his mid 40s.

He was about 5ft 6in tall, of thin build, with short brown hair and spoke with a local accent.

PC John Fraser, who is leading the inquiry, said: "The individual involved in this incident behaved in an aggressive manner which caused considerable alarm.

"We believe this man who was in the store at the time can assist us with our inquiries and I would urge anyone who recognises him to make contact with the police and provide any information they may have which could be of assistance."
