Work on new Elgin High School to get under way

Work is expected to start on building a new Elgin High School next month after funding delays were lifted for the project.

Construction has been held up for more than six months because approval was being sought for the funding.

The local authority said the delay had cost it more than half a million pounds.

Moray's director of education Laurence Finlay said the clearance for work was tremendous news.

It will be built near the existing school.
