Man injured in armed raid on shop in Stonehaven

A shop assistant needed hospital treatment after he was injured in a robbery at a store in Stonehaven.

Three youths, armed with a knife, took alcohol and cigarettes in the incident at Best One in the town's Kings Road at about 18:30 on Thursday.

Police said the 33-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to a laceration on his arm.

His attackers are said to be aged between 14 and 19, and wore dark clothes and hoods.

Officers have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
