Indecent assault on girl investigated in Aberdeen

An indecent assault on a 12-year-old girl in Aberdeen is being investigated by police.

The incident happened in the Park Place/Princes Street area at about 08:45 on Tuesday. The girl was said to be uninjured but "extremely distressed".

The suspect was described as a man of Indian appearance, aged between 30 and 40, with short black hair.

He was wearing navy blue jeans, a red hooded top and a black rain jacket.

Police Scotland said it was liaising with nearby schools to ensure parents were aware, and have extra patrols in the area to provide reassurance to the community.
