Three teens charged over spate of Inverurie bin fires
Three teenagers have been charged after a spate of wilful fire-raising incidents in Inverurie.
A number of bins around the town were set alight during Thursday evening. Police estimate the value of the damage caused by the fires was over £1,000.
A 16-year-old boy and two 17-year-old males have been charged in connection with the fires and are to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
Officers are following a positive line of inquiry on a fourth suspect.
PC Gemma Donaldson, who led the inquiry, said: "The fire caused varying damage at a number of locations and could have had devastating consequences."
