The operators of an Aberdeenshire home for the elderly have said an action plan has been drawn up after inspectors found a number of areas of concern.

Mowat Court in Stonehaven was rated weak after an unannounced inspection.

Care Inspectorate staff highlighted a number of issues, including alcohol which belonged to a member of staff being within easy reach of residents and visitors.

Operators Care UK said it had taken on board the recommendations.

The Mowat Court home provides residential and nursing care for more than 40 older people.
