Stonehaven drink-driver Sean Hills caught on video

A man has admitted drink-driving after a video of him driving dangerously on the A90 into Stonehaven was posted on a social networking site.

Sean Hills was caught on Monday close to his home in the Aberdeenshire town.

The footage, which was posted on Facebook, showed his car veering across the A90 dual carriageway. He then drove into the town, before being stopped by a police patrol.

Hills, 36, will be sentenced next month at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

Calls from public

He admitted dangerous driving and driving while unfit due to drink and drugs.

Insp Ewan Innes Police Scotland said: "We did receive calls from members of the public regarding this matter and we would thank those who came forward.

"It is down to their actions that hopefully has prevented loss of life or serious injury.

"We would always encourage members of the public to come forward to report any concerns they may have."
