A public consultation on proposals to build a new road bridge over the River Dee in Aberdeen is under way.

The city council said that, with several major residential developments being built south of Aberdeen, improved access would be needed in the years to come.

Various access options have been identified.

The consultation period - featuring public exhibitions and a survey - runs from Tuesday until 4 October.
