Pedestrian injured by police vehicle in Elgin

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being injured by a marked police vehicle in Moray.

The 21-year-old man was on Elgin's Pinefield Crescent when the collision happened at about 06:15.

He was taken to Dr Gray's Hospital, and was later released after being treated for a head injury.

Two men, aged 21 and 24, were later charged in connection with an alleged break-in at a house in the Pinefield Crescent area.

They are due to appear at Elgin Sherriff Court on Tuesday.
