Man held for £22,000 Aberdeen jewellery theft

A man has been charged after jewellery estimated to be worth more than £22,000 was stolen in Aberdeen.

Police said the incident happened at a property on the city's Fowler Avenue on 22 July.

The 27-year-old man has also been charged following the theft of money from the city's Woodside Library on Tuesday.

He was due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
