Aberdeen drug recoveries 'worth almost £100,000'

Drugs with an estimated street value of almost £100,000 have been seized in Aberdeen in the past fortnight, police have said.

Cannabis and amphetamines thought to be worth £36,000 were recovered in the Hilton area on Tuesday.

A further two raids were carried out in the Tillydrone and Torry areas on Wednesday, leading to more drug finds.

Ch Insp George MacDonald said information from the public was vital.

The raids were carried out as part of ongoing Operation Maple.
