Two men have appeared in court charged with culpable and reckless discharge of a firearm at an Aberdeen school.

Police were called to Hazlehead Academy at lunchtime on Monday.

They were responding to reports that pupils had been fired at with a paint gun.

Jack Hearns, 20, and Owen Petrie, 21, both of Aberdeen, made no plea at the city's sheriff court and were released on bail.

Mr Petrie was also charged with the breach of an Anti-Social Behaviour Order (Asbo).
