Dead Aberdeen pedestrian named as Charles Reid of Moray

A pedestrian who died after he was hit by a lorry in Aberdeen has been named as a Moray man.

Charles Reid, who was 29 and believed to be from Forres, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after he was struck in King Street on Wednesday.

The driver of the lorry, a 62-year-old man, was not injured.

The road was closed for four hours while investigators examined the scene. Grampian Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
