'Fumes' worker in airlift rescue from Shetland platform

An offshore worker was airlifted to hospital after inhaling fumes on a North Sea platform.

A coastguard rescue helicopter from Sumburgh was scrambled to pick up the man from the Dunlin platform, off Shetland, on Sunday evening.

He was taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick. His condition was not believed to be life-threatening.

The Dunlin platform is situated 115 miles north east of Shetland.
