Body found in sea off Shetland confirmed as fisherman
A body found in the sea off Shetland has been confirmed as that of missing fisherman Neil Smith.
Mr Smith, 54, from Cunningsburgh, was reported missing on 20 January when his prawn boat, Bread Winner, failed to return to Lerwick.
A search involving the coastguard helicopter and the Lerwick lifeboat found the boat among rocks east of the island of Whalsay the following day.
Mr Smith's body was found by local fishermen on Friday.
It is understood they used his GPS navigation system, which was recovered from the wreck, to follow the route outlined on it.
