Investigation after man falls from farm roof

The Health and Safety Executive is investigating after a man fell from the roof of a farm building.

The man was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Thursday following the accident at Cottown Farm, near Huntly.

It is farmed by the NFU Scotland representative Tom Johnston, who called for paramedics after finding the man unconscious on the ground.

The man, who is in his late 30s, was working on the roof and is said to have "significant" head injuries.
