Man, 69, fined over threatening phone calls to woman

A 69-year-old Aberdeen grandfather who made threatening phone calls to his former partner has been fined.

George Jamieson made dozens of abusive calls to Linda Stanger, 60, after their eight-year relationship ended.

Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard that one voice mail message threatened: "Tomorrow you die".

Jamieson admitted making the threatening phone calls between December last year and January, and was fined £280.

Defence agent Gregor Kelly said Jamieson now accepted that the relationship was over.
