Man in court for attempted pedestrian murder in street

A 36-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a pedestrian.

Philip Swarbrick, from Fraserburgh, was remanded in custody following his appearance at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

The charge was made after a 23-year-old man was knocked down in Aberdeen's Ann Street on Monday.

Mr Swarbrick was remanded in custody and will appear again in court at a later date.
