Scissor robber 'sorry' for Aberdeen video store theft
A court has heard how a robber, who struck at an Aberdeen video store, armed with a pair of scissors handed himself into police.
Guy Sutherland repeatedly told the female sales assistant that he was sorry during the crime at Blockbuster in George Street on 22 September.
The 31-year-old admitted the assault and robbery of £105 when he appeared at the High Court in Edinburgh.
Sutherland is to be sentenced later this month.
The court heard that Sutherland handed himself into police the following evening and made a confession, telling officers he thought going to jail would sort his head out.
Sutherland said it had been "a bad year" because he had lost his job, finished with his partner and was not getting to see his son.
