A90 in Aberdeenshire reopens after serious accident

A section of the A90 has reopened in Aberdeenshire following a serious car accident.

The southbound carriageway of the road was shut for several hours after the crash, which took place just south of Laurencekirk at about 0740 GMT.

A man was cut free from his car and taken to hospital with serious injuries. A second man was also injured in the crash.

Grampian Police said no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
