Men detained in Highlands over 'fake banknotes'

Four men have been detained in connection with the alleged distribution of counterfeit banknotes in the Highlands.

Police Scotland said the men aged 16, 20, 23 and 25 were not from the local area.

They were detained after police stopped a vehicle on the A9 in Easter Ross on Monday.

Police Scotland said the men were due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
