Weapon used in robbery on Inverness street

Two men, one of them armed with a weapon, have robbed another man of money on a street in Inverness.

The incident on Glendoe Terrace in Merkinch happened between 10:15 and 11:30 on Thursday.

Police Scotland said a man in his 20s was robbed by a man in his 30s and another aged between 25 and 30.

Police have been making door-to-door inquiries in the local area and officers are also reviewing CCTV footage.

The man in his 30s was described as being white with collar-length brown hair and was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and white trainers.

The second man was white, 5ft 9in tall and was wearing a bright blue Gio Gio hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
