The Highland Military Tattoo was held at historic Fort George near Inverness over the weekend.

The annual event celebrates the histories of the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.

Youth organisations including Highland dance groups and Army, Air Force and Sea Cadets also take part.

The tattoo is held over three nights at the former 18th Century artillery fortification at Ardersier. This year's included a fly-past by RAF Typhoons.

Photographer Paul Campbell captured some of the action.
