Inverness drug dealer Conor Bennett ordered to pay £25,000

An Inverness man jailed earlier this year for his involvement in dealing drugs has been ordered to pay £25,000 under proceeds of crime legislation.

Conor Bennett, 24, was jailed for five years and nine months after he admitted being concerned in the supply of ecstasy, cocaine and cannabis.

He was ordered to pay the money at a hearing on Monday at the High Court in Edinburgh.

Bennett was given six months to pay the £25,000.

Earlier this year, Bennett and Daniel Hunter, 26, also from Inverness, admitted being concerned in the supply of drugs between February 2014 and April 2015.

Hunter was jailed for four years.
